Greece Santorini is one place where the absence of color can be beautiful. The white washed buildings are something that you do not see in your everyday life. With that whitewash we can also experience the vibrancy of a single POP of color such as this yellow paint and blue door. Had the building been brick or gray stone these colors might not have evoked the reaction that they do against the starkness of white. As the saying goes; absence makes the heart grow fonder.
